Week 1 | A Living God, A Living Hope

Apr 12, 2026

In a world marked by loss, fear, and fading hope, the resurrection of Jesus Christ gives believers something real, lasting, and alive. We do not serve a dead Savior or cling to empty optimism. We have been born again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In today’s message, Pastor Ryan Rice, Sr. walks us through 1 Peter 1 and reminds us that the resurrection is not just a truth to celebrate on one day. It is the foundation for how we live every day.

This week’s message centers on one clear truth:

The resurrection of Jesus gives us real hope and real life in a dying world.

Through 1 Peter 1, we see several powerful realities of this living hope:

1️⃣ We Are Born Again Into a Living Hope

Because Jesus rose from the dead, our hope is alive. It is not fragile, temporary, or dependent on circumstances.

2️⃣ We Have an Eternal Inheritance

Our future is secure in Christ. What God has promised is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading.

3️⃣ We Are Guarded by God’s Power

Even in trials, believers are not abandoned. God keeps His people by His power through faith.

4️⃣ Our Faith Is Refined Through Testing

Suffering is real, but it is not wasted. God uses trials to purify our faith and fix our eyes more fully on Christ.

5️⃣ We Love and Rejoice in the One We Have Not Seen

Though we do not yet see Jesus face to face, we know Him, love Him, and rejoice in Him with a joy rooted in salvation.

And as this message concludes with the question, “We are born again into a living hope, now what?” the answer is clear: we live each day from the joy of knowing Jesus and being transformed by His Word.

💬 Reflect & Respond:

Are you living from the hope of the resurrection, or are you being shaped more by the fears of this world? What would it look like to live today with the joy of knowing Jesus and the confidence of a living hope?
